Exhibitors at bodytex in favour of a strong summer fair

Following on from the successful premiere of the BODY LOOK section bodytex, held in Leipzig from 22 to 24 July 2005, the majority of bodytex exhibitors have spoken out if favour of a concentration on the summer date. “The next bodytex will be as a section of the BODY LOOK from 21 to 23 July 2006“, announced Kirstin Deutelmoser, project director for BODY LOOK with bodytex. “In recent days we have held numerous in-depth discussions with important representatives from the industry. The concept of the new, integrated bodytex exhibition area within the BODY LOOK was received highly positively.“

“The July date is optimal for the pre-stage“

In the opinion of the exhibitors, the bodytex as an integrated communication platform for the textile pre-stage, industry and trade has great potential, receiving support from all representatives of the industry. “The July date is optimal for the pre-stage“, says Francesco Pozzi, Chief Executive Officer of Consorzio MarediModa and Managing Director of the Textra company. Discussions with industry representatives from Italy and Switzerland have shown that they view the dates for next July positively. “Leipzig is welcomed as a successful industry forum for the entire value chain for body, beach and legwear“, states Deutelmoser. “The bodytex exhibitors felt at home in Leipzig and enjoyed the strong feeling of togetherness. There was an enormous potential for discussion.“

“We are right behind the bodytex concept“, emphasises Ueli Fisch, Managing Director of Greuter Jersey AG, Sulgen (Switzerland). “We are happy to contribute to the success of this promising trade fair and have already registered for the next BODY LOOK with bodytex in July 2006.“

Axel Söder, Managing Director of Fritz Moll Textilwerke GmbH & Co. KG, Altshausen, also stresses the benefits of the concept: “Our expectations for the initial event were met fully in Leipzig. It was especially good to be able to make so many contacts with eastern Europe. We would welcome an even stronger focus on central and eastern Europe. We are more than happy to support Leipzig in the coming year, as well as the establishment of a date in July. The bodytex section of the fair has great potential. The excellent support on site also gave us an appetite for more of the same.“

Hans-Peter Grosch, Purchasing Manager, Triumph International, Heubach, adds, as a visitor to bodytex: ”I welcome the bodytex concept very warmly. Without this link between the textile pre-stage and the clothing industry I would not have attended the BODY LOOK in my function as purchaser for raw materials. The positive feedback of those present will ensure that the exhibitor portfolio grows further in the coming years. I am interested to see the further development of bodytex and am sure to be present again next year.“
